For those of you that are new to the club we thought you might like to know a little about the committee that runs our club! Each of the committee is approachable with any comments or queries that you may have.

The Commodore

Steve Dennis

Steve is now in his third year as Commodore and has previously held the position of Vice Commodore and Members Representative. Steve & Mary's Seamaster 23 "Jaspen" is moored on the Clubs moorings .

The Vice Commodore

Colin Brazier

Colin was our Commodore from 2010 until 2012. Colin has been a member for 16 years and has also been our Works Co-ordinator. Colin & Liz can be seen on the river in their Seamaster 30 'Peace'.

The Rear Commodore

Tony Mackenzie

Tony is in his 8th year as our Rear Commodore. Tony maintains our Website and with Shirley they can be seen on their new love "Saisy 11" cruising the river.

Secretary

Myra Dowell

Myra is into her 3rd year as our Club Secretary and has been a member of the club for 9 years. Both Myra & Peter own “Dreamtime” which is on the Clubs moorings.

Membership Secretary

Sheila Howard

Sheila is into her 3rd year as our Membership Secretary and has been a great supporter of the club and has hosted many of our social events. Sheila & Alans 27ft Seamaster "Jofrey 111" is moored on the Clubs North Bank.

The Treasurer

Peter Downs

Peter is the club's treasurer and has been for 19 years now. A fishing enthusiast who has been a member for 26 years. Peter has a Seahog which is an ideal boat to enjoy his hobby.

The Social Secretary

Jacqui Robb

Jacqui has kindly taken up the role of our new Social Secretary. Jacqui and Terry own Pisco Sour which is moored on our club moorings and Cloud Nine which is based in Ramsgate Harbour.

Works Co-Coordinator

John Bottle

John is in his 2nd year as our Works Co-ordinator. With Sue & Sheila they now own “Harmony” a Seamaster 30 which they keep on our Clubs moorings.

The Member's Representative

Keith Lathwell

Keith joined our Committee in 2013 & our Members Representative. Keith & Libby’s new boat is now a Hardy Keith would be to happy to advise any club members on marine engineering issues based on his 43 years experience as a ships engineer.

Alan Gittings

Alan was our Commodore from 1998 until 2004, 2007 until 2010 & 2012 until 2015.Alan can be seen on the river in his 30' Seamaster 'Turramurra'.

Wally Wanstall

Wally is also a Past Commodore. This position is an honorary but vital role passing on valuable experience and advice to the committee. Wally served as Commodore from 2004 until 2007 and has also held the position of Works Co-ordinator.

David Burford

David is in to his7th year on the Committee and 5th year as Compound manager. David's cruiser "Uncle Peter" is kept on the clubs moorings. .
